Someone has rightly said:
“जाको राखे साइयां, मार सके ना कोए।”
Amit, a resident of the northern part of Kanpur (India), met with a tragic accident while traveling by train. He fell from a railway coach and lay helpless on the tracks for 5–6 hours, crying out for help. With every passing moment, hope faded… until fate intervened.
When Amit finally regained consciousness, he found himself in the ICU — alive, yet in shock. He felt no pain, but also couldn’t move his leg. That horrifying night had taken away one of his legs.
The trauma pushed him into deep depression. He lost the will to live, to dream, and to move forward.
That’s when Avdhootam Social Welfare Society stepped in.
Through continuous counseling sessions, the team helped him rebuild his CSC Health — Corporal, Spiritual & Cerebral well-being. With compassion and dedication, they reignited his lost confidence and purpose.
The donation of an artificial leg by Avdhootam proved to be nothing less than a “संजीवनी बूटी” in Amit’s life.
Today, Amit stands strong again — independent, confident, and back to his work and social life. He is grateful and cherishes this second chance at life.
It truly reminds us:
“From every wound, there is a scar,
And every scar tells a story —
A story that says, I SURVIVED.”
